Pomarine Jaeger

Pomarine Jaeger / Kütkuyruklu Korsanmartı, Mersin, 2018 Similar to other jaegers, pomarine jaegers attack other sea birds and steal their food. On our short trip off the coast to the sea on a boat, we had a chance to observe them while they were bullying sea gulls, making them drop their fish from their beaks and catching the fish in the air or it was just about to fall down to the sea.
